Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Larp BTC application, or by accessing larpbtc.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not download or use Larp BTC.

These terms apply to all users of the Larp BTC application and website, regardless of how you obtained the software.

2. Description of Service

Larp BTC is a free desktop application that generates visual mockups resembling the Bitcoin Core wallet interface. The application allows users to:

• Display custom, user-specified Bitcoin balance amounts in a fake wallet UI
• Display custom, user-specified Bitcoin wallet addresses
• Generate fake, non-real transaction history entries
• Export the resulting fake wallet UI as a screenshot image

The application is provided free of charge. It does not require registration, payment, or account creation.

3. Entertainment and Novelty Purposes Only

Larp BTC is not a real Bitcoin wallet. It does not hold, store, manage, or transact any cryptocurrency. Any numbers or addresses displayed by the application are fabrications selected by the user for entertainment purposes only.

Nothing produced by Larp BTC constitutes proof of ownership of any cryptocurrency asset, evidence of a financial transaction, or any form of financial instrument or document.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Larp BTC for:

• Personal entertainment and novelty purposes
• Educational demonstrations about how Bitcoin wallet interfaces look
• Creative projects, artwork, or satire where the fake nature of the content is clear
• Software development, testing, and UI design reference
• Non-deceptive social media content where the fabricated nature is disclosed

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Larp BTC to:

• Deceive, defraud, or mislead any person into believing they are viewing a real Bitcoin wallet or real cryptocurrency balance
• Facilitate any form of financial fraud, scam, investment fraud, or theft
• Create fake evidence of cryptocurrency ownership for any fraudulent purpose
• Impersonate a high-net-worth individual or institutional investor using fake balance screenshots
• Manipulate financial markets or cryptocurrency prices through false information
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including laws against fraud, wire fraud, securities fraud, or money laundering
• Engage in any activity that causes harm to a third party

6. No Cryptocurrency Involved

Larp BTC does not interact with the Bitcoin blockchain or any cryptocurrency network. Specifically:

• Larp BTC does not hold, transfer, receive, or process any cryptocurrency
• Downloading or using Larp BTC does not create any cryptocurrency transaction
• Wallet addresses entered into Larp BTC are not associated with any real blockchain account
• No private keys are generated, stored, or used by the application
• Screenshots from Larp BTC do not constitute proof of ownership of any cryptocurrency

7. No Warranty

Larp BTC is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
• Warranties that defects will be corrected or that the software is free of viruses or harmful components
• Warranties that the software will be available in any particular form or at any particular time

You assume all risk associated with downloading and using Larp BTC. We recommend scanning all downloaded files with reputable antivirus software.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Larp BTC and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use or inability to use Larp BTC
• Any content you create with Larp BTC
• Any actions taken by third parties in reliance on content you create with Larp BTC
• Any legal consequences arising from your use of Larp BTC
• Loss of data, loss of profit, or any other loss or damage arising from use of the software

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Intellectual Property

The Larp BTC application, including all associated code, design elements, and documentation, is the intellectual property of its developers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, sell, resell, sublicence, or redistribute the Larp BTC application or any part of it without express written permission.

The Bitcoin Core name and wallet UI design are the property of the Bitcoin Core project and its contributors. Larp BTC's use of Bitcoin Core UI elements as a visual reference does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the Bitcoin Core project.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms will be published at larpbtc.com/terms.html with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Larp BTC after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Larp BTC shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Larp BTC regarding use of the application and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
